Lasta makes it easy to adjust your fasting times (start and end) so you can find a schedule that fits your lifestyle, daily routine, or evolving goals. Your fasting window can change over time—many users tweak it as they adapt to intermittent fasting.
Important note: If a fast is currently active, you'll need to end it first before fully editing the times. This ensures accurate tracking and progress logging.
Step-by-Step: How to Change Your Fasting Times
- Open the Lasta app and tap the More tab and select Fasting under the Trackers secion.
- If a fast is currently running:
- Tap the End fast button (usually prominent on the tracker screen).
- Confirm if prompted—this completes the current fast and logs it in your history.
- Once no active fast is running, look at the fasting tracker screen.
- On the left side, you'll see the Start fast and End fast sections (showing your planned or last-used times).
- Next to the start time and/or end time, tap the pencil icon ✏️ to edit.
- Use the time picker to adjust the start time and/or end time as needed.
- The app will automatically calculate the fasting duration based on your changes (e.g., 16 hours between new start and end).
- You can also change the date if adjusting a past or future fast.
- After setting your preferred times, tap Complete fast (or Save, Confirm, or Apply—the button may vary slightly by app version) to lock in the changes.
- Your new fasting schedule is now set:
- Tap Start fasting when you're ready to begin the next fast with the updated times.
- The timer, progress, and body status will reflect your new window.
Tips for Customizing Your Fasting Times
- Experiment with windows that align with your natural rhythm (e.g., skip breakfast if you're not hungry in the morning, or end eating earlier for better sleep).
- Use Lasta's reminders: Set notifications for your new start/end times to stay consistent.
- Log progress: Track mood, energy, hydration, and how you feel during different windows—review in fasting history to see what works best.
- Plan ahead: Adjust times for weekends, travel, or special days—your history keeps everything organized.
- Duration changes: If you want a completely different fasting length (e.g., from 14:10 to 16:8), tap the duration indicator (like '14h') in the upper-right corner first → select a new plan → Confirm, then edit times as needed.

If the pencil icon isn't appearing, the Complete fast button behaves differently, or you're having trouble ending/starting a fast, try refreshing the tab, force-quitting/reopening the app, or updating to the latest version.
